1. Eggnog or Hot Chocolate? um, for Christmas neither really (even though I like both). It's glögi; warmed spicy wine/juice
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? wraps them but does not put them under the tree. The Santa either arrives & gives each present personally or leaves the presents in big bags to the hall from where we find them.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I prefer natural white/yellowish. I hate the bright white & blue electric lights. And I don't like anything that twinkles & moves & makes noise. Just simple & pretty.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No.
5. When do you put up your decorations? Some time in December we put the curtains, linens & other decorations but we decorate the christmas tree on 23rd or 24th of December.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? I like all the vegetarian casseroles and salads and smoked fish and plum tarts and home made cheese.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child. My toy monkey. The one I named "Little brother".
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don't really remember but I guess it was when I recognized Santa's voice to be my half-brother's.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? In Finland we open all the presents on Christmas Eve.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? I've never had a tree at my place but I celebrate Christmas at my parents place and they always have a tree. We keep it simple & pretty with electric candles and some decorations like golden balls & ribbons.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it.
12. Can you ice skate? Sure I can but my feet start to hurt so much that I hardly ever do.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I love all gifts :)
14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? The returning of the light. The hope & love & light in the darkest time of the year. Warmth, beauty, being with family, lovely food & atmosphere and I like to give gifts as well.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? plum tarts. I just love them!

21. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized? Yes.
22. Real tree or artificial? That's a tough question. I don't like the idea of cutting a real living tree for a few days fun but I find artificial trees quite uninspiring.

24. Do you do a Christmas Dinner or Supper and who cooks? Both I guess. My mother has usually cooked but this year I will help her more than before.

26. Do your pets share in the festivities? Of course they do. But my cats are usually not with me because they hate travelingbut there's always a little present for them as well.
